Alice Lund - Abstract Assemblage Artist
Originally from Wyoming, Alice has lived in Helena for over 20 years. She graduated from the University of Wyoming in art education where she studied under well-known artists such as Robert Evans and Albert Wein. Alice's art work has covered a wide range of media from oils to acrylics, cellulose clay to polymer clay and fabric. Throughout the 1980's and 1990's, Alice's acrylic floral paintings were on display across the country as well as in numerous galleries in Montana. Her work was chosen three years to appear in the St. Peter's Hospital Gala.
Having always wanted to get into abstract art, she recently began an assemblage technique incorporating fine fabric, polymer clay, and attached objects in her three-dimensional works. The brilliant colors, textures and metallics of the fabrics bring to life the geometric shapes used in her art work.
