About the event

The Montana Constitution Road Show

Every state has laws. Montana has a love letter.

As part of America's 250th birthday celebrations, Upper Seven Law presents the Montana Constitution Road Show — a night dedicated to the remarkable 1972 document that Montanans wrote for Montanans, born out of a rare and deliberate act of grassroots democracy.

This isn't a dry civics lecture. It's a story — one that traces how a group of citizens sat down and built a constitution meant to actually reflect the land, the people, and the stubborn independence that defines this state. Through vivid storytelling, the Road Show unpacks:

• What a constitutional democracy really is — and why it matters more than most people realize

• The rule of law — the invisible architecture holding a free society together
