About the event
John Dendy and the Delta T lay down a swampy groove to support some smart words. Like bougainvillea bursting from bedrock, they bring a southern strut to the high desert. John Dendy writes the songs, plays upright bass and harmonica, and conducts the orchestra. Alex Schwab makes it funky, pushing and pulling and percolating on the drums. Jeremy Terry lays down riffs and melodies that turn singer-songwriter stuff into beatnik jazz, playing saxophones, flute, and harmonica. These guys are making their own thing, straight from scratch.
