The Business Improvement District (BID) is committed to fostering growth and revitalization in downtown Helena through various grant opportunities. Our grant programs are designed to support local businesses, beautify public spaces, and enhance community engagement in our historic downtown. Explore our available grants below.

New Business Development Grant

Deadline: 12th of every month (Rolling Grant)

The New Business Development Grant is designed to encourage and support new businesses opening in The Gulch. This grant provides financial assistance for start-up costs, helping new ventures establish a strong foundation in our community.

New Event Grant

The New Event Grant offers funding to individuals or organizations planning events that bring energy and engagement to downtown Helena. This grant supports events that are in their early stages (first three years). 

Established Event Grant

The Established Event Grant offers funding to individuals or organizations planning events that bring energy and engagement to downtown Helena. This grant supports events that have been occurring for more than three years. This grant intends to help sustain and grow events that have become a regular part of downtown Helena's activities. 

Façade Grant

The Façade Grant supports businesses in improving the exterior of their storefronts, enhancing the visual appeal of downtown Helena. This grant helps cover costs for upgrades like painting, signage, lighting, window improvements, and more.
